Về Bác Sĩ Jiang
Ming Tao Jiang, MD, PhD, grew up in Shandong, China—the birthplace of legendary folk hero Sun Liang, known as the Lord of Ginseng Diggers. Dr. Jiang earned his medical degree at Shandong Medical University (1979–1988) before completing his PhD in medical research (Physiology) in Ontario, Canada.
Medical Research Career and Heart Disease Expertise
Before transitioning to agriculture and founding Marathon Ginseng in 2010, Dr. Jiang dedicated over two decades to cardiovascular medicine and scientific research. He conducted advanced cardiac research at Toronto General Hospital (1993–1996) and the University of Wisconsin–Madison (1996–2000), subsequently serving as a Research Assistant Professor at the Medical College of Wisconsin beginning in 2000.
His scientific publications have earned over 1,200 citations for pioneering breakthroughs in cardiac function, aging, myocardial ischemia, and heart failure. Notably in 2006, his discovery regarding cardioprotection via mitochondrial signaling pathways was highlighted as an "important milestone" in an editorial by the American Journal of Physiology.
Life in Wisconsin - The Ginseng Capital of America
Dr. Jiang has been a resident of Wisconsin since 1996. In 2009, his family moved to Marathon County in Wisconsin, the Ginseng Capital of America, where his wife Dr. Lu practices medicine as a spine specialist serving the local ginseng farmers and other residents. His daughter Katherine was a graduate of UW-Madison and its Medical School specializing in Urban Medicine and now a Family Physician practicing in Seattle WA. His son Jason was a graduate of UW Madison and a MBA from Cornell Tech MBA living in New York city. Jason is a fitness model as a sidekick.
American Ginseng Cultivation and Clinical Success
After 15 years of hard work and many trials, he has transformed himself into a skilled ginseng farmer, producing premium ginseng roots from 3 to 10 years old. Because of his medical/research background, Dr Jiang has had unparalleled clinical successes and insights into how powerful American Ginseng can be as a super food in the US and Medicine in Asia, from wellness to applications in critical conditions. He became a Godfather to Anja Alvard from Minnesota, whose family credits his specific ginseng protocols with her recovery during two life-threatening health crises in 2018 and 2022. This led to the development of the Anja's Ginseng Protocol of Critical Care, bridging the gap between ancient wisdom and modern clinical needs. It helped save Dr.Jiang's own 93 year old Mother in August 2025 from respiratory failure with pneumonia. https://youtu.be/3TyStXVUjXI
