About Marathon Ginseng

Marathon Ginseng Gardens is a leading American Ginseng farm from Marathon County,  Wisconsin, the Ginseng Capital of America where 95% of American Ginseng is grown. We specialize in the production, preservation, distribution, research and education of Wisconsin Ginseng.  It is founded by partners lead by Ming Tao Jiang, MD, PhD in 2010.

Ginseng farming dates back over 120 years ago in Wisconsin. Our founding partner, the Monk Family, have farmed ginseng for four generations. The virgin glacier soil and frigid winter together help make Wisconsin Ginseng very special with exceptionally strong aroma and unique bittersweet flavor.

Ginseng has been used by the Chinese and native Indians for centuries as a panacea or cure-all. It is known to enhance virility, ward off cold and other ailments. Modern research suggests that ginseng may improve blood circulation, strengthen the immune system and reduces blood sugar. It has helped many clients regaining their health, the the case of  Anja from MN, when doctors planed to give up on further treatments.

Marathon Ginseng takes pride providing premium products with personalized health consultation to our members across the globe. Our premium brand, Monk Garden® Ginseng, has earned the trust and confidence of our global members for its exceptional aroma and health benefits. It has been presented to the White House and other global VIPs.

Marathon Ginseng Gardens was a winner of the US China Business Leadership Award presented by the US Ambassador to China Terry Branstad in Dec 2017. Dr. Jiang and the Monk Family have been featured by the award winning TV documentary "Ginseng the Legend"  in China's CCTV.  His personal journey from  from a doctor/professor to a Ginseng farmer has been covered by the global media outlets such as the New York Times, TV Tokyo, South China Morning News in Hong Kong and  China’s national CCTV, in addition to the World Journal, the largest Chinese language newspaper in the US.

At Marathon Ginseng, we are committed to producing  premium Wisconsin ginseng roots, helping preserve wild ginseng in the US  and realizing its full health benefits for the mankind.
